ABOUT THE POSITION

The company is an international specialist in advanced extrusion technology and customized tubing solutions used in both medical devices and demanding industrial processes worldwide. With roots dating back to the early 1970s, they have built impressive expertise in materials, design, and production, delivering components with precision down to fractions of a millimeter to customers in over 50 countries. At the company, technical expertise is combined with innovation in everything from prototype stages to large-scale manufacturing, always focusing on creating reliable, customer-tailored solutions that maintain high quality and make a real difference in the end product.

As a Customer Order Specialist, you will have overall responsibility for the customer order flow and serve as a central link between customers, production, and internal functions such as sales, logistics, and purchasing. You will work closely with the business and play a crucial role in ensuring that customer orders are handled correctly, efficiently, and with high quality, from order placement to delivery. You will work with complex order and delivery flows in an international environment, where accuracy, structure, and good communication are essential. The role involves significant personal responsibility and requires you to independently prioritize, make decisions, and drive cases forward while being able to coordinate multiple stakeholders simultaneously. You are expected to take ownership of your cases and be a reliable point of contact for both customers and internal teams.

In this role, you will also contribute to developing and improving working methods within customer service and order management. This means you are expected to identify improvement opportunities in processes, system support, and collaboration, as well as actively contribute to increased efficiency and better customer experience. You enjoy working closely with operations, have a solution-oriented approach, and see the value in combining operational work with continuous development. This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant for our client. The assignment will be full-time and is expected to last at least 6 months. There are very good chances for extension, provided that there is room for it and that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

In your daily work, you will among other things:

  • Manage customer contacts and order matters, including problem-solving, follow-up, and processing of customer orders, returns, and delivery inquiries in Monitor ERP
  • Coordinate customer orders and deliveries between factories, sales, logistics, and supply chain
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for both external customers and internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with sales, logistics, and purchasing for pricing information, order coordination, delivery planning, and follow-up of purchase orders
  • Ensure that customer information, order data, and documentation are correct and up-to-date
  • Provide proactive support and identify improvement opportunities in order and customer processes
  • Escalate more complex cases when necessary and support the organization with ERP-related knowledge
  • Work in accordance with internal guidelines and industry-specific quality and regulatory requirements

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has a post-secondary education in, for example, industrial economics, logistics, supply chain, or similar, or equivalent work experience
  • Has experience in order management, supply chain, or other operational roles with coordination and flow responsibility
  • Enjoys coordinating between multiple functions and having many contact points internally and externally
  • Has a good understanding of logistics, production, and order flows
  • Is used to working independently in a global and cross-functional environment
  • Has good system skills and experience with ERP-based workflows in order management and logistics
  • Communicates fluently in English, both spoken and written, as it is required to perform the job

It is meritorious, but not required, if you have:

  • Experience with the Monitor ERP system
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
  • Good knowledge of German in both spoken and written form
